Inkjet Cartridges

Empties4Cash is our newest fundraiser. When it's
time to replace the inkjet cartridge (cartridge sizes that fit in your
hand) from your computer's printer DON'T throw it away. The Associates are
recycling for cash. If each of us would ask the members of our family, our friends and
co-workers to bring us their empty inkjet printer cartridges when they put
in a new one, we can recycle them for $2 each. Here's what we have to do.
The
company has begun a new system where each of you could easily place 3 to 5
inkjets in your very own personal easy to seal baggy and drop it in the
mail. The baggy has the companies address, our account number, and the
instructions on how to use the baggy printed on it. It costs us nothing
because it is prepaid postage.
There
is no more saving up your inkjets to bring them to the meeting to give to
me. You can easily do this yourself at home. No waiting! Everything about
it is a Win Win!
The
company accepts cartridges that have “print heads” from the following
brands: Apple, Canon, Compaq, Dell, HP, Lexmark, and Sharp. They do not
accep t
Epson, and Canon BCI series. We are currently seeing if any other
recyclable inkjet companies would accept the Epson’s or Canon BCI series.
If your
chapter would please let me know if you’d like the baggies or need more
baggies I will be glad to see that you receive them as soon as possible.
The
last check we received from the inkjets was $182.90!

Recycle Your Old Cell Phones!

 Recycle it and you'll help Mother Nature and those in need of emergency
communication. We are collecting used cell phones for the benefit of
Rochester College who will receive a monetary donation for each phone
received. Cell phones contain many toxins and are very hazardous to our
environment and they should not end up in landfills. All cell phones,
regardless of age or working condition, are accepted. Make certain to
deactivate your phone as well, prior to donation, by contacting your
service provider.
This program not only greatly benefits Rochester College, but assists
in providing 911 (emergency only) services to battered adults, children
and senior citizens as many donated phones are distributed for these
purposes. Please begin collecting cell phones from family and friends and
bring them to the September General Meeting.
